Skiworld is one of the very few tour operators to offer your children aged 2 - 11 years (who are not already enjoying a half-price place) an automatic 10% discount (except peak dates when the discount is 5%) when you stay in one of our shared chalets during the 2022 season.
Discounts for children - We offer 50% off for children aged between 2 and 11 years, when they share with their parent(s) in our shared chalets in France during the 2022 season. This offer is valid all season including school holidays, except for sales and late availability offers as these are already heavily discounted. Places are based on a first come first served basis so early booking is highly recommended.
See our chalets that offer 50% off for children.
Discounts for adults - If a third adult stays in a room that has an extra bed then this bed would be discounted in a shared chalet. See our chalets that offer discounts on extra beds for adults.
*These discounts do not apply to chalets only available as Whole Chalet Bookings for the 21/22 season.
Here is an example of a half-priced bed where the room would be filled with two adults, and then the final bed would be filled with a child, priced at half the price of an adult. If you'd like some more help understanding how it works, or help with booking, then please give us a call on 0330 102 8004.

Here are some of the main things to think about when planning your family ski holiday:
A white Christmas is what every kid dreams of and we pull out the stops to make sure that the whole family has a magical time. For example a Christmas ski chalet holiday comes with a bundle of festive extras in your very own private home-from-home. For more details of what's included see our Christmas Ski Deals page.
Get away for New Year and spend some quality time with the family in a wintery alpine retreat. Like Christmas, there are loads of things going on in ski resorts to help make this ski holiday memorable. Find out more about New Year ski holidays and what is on offer on our New Year Ski Deals page.
Easter is a popular choice for family ski holidays with fantastic spring weather, longer days and excellent snowfall. Resorts often pull out the stops with Easter celebrations and egg hunts as well as end-of-season parties for everyone. If you're interested to know more about spring skiing, view our Easter Ski Deals page.
We look at the best ski resorts for your family ski holiday based on their ability. Whether you have family members who are just starting out, or maybe they're ready to take on new challenges on the slopes... or maybe they're already overtaking you! Whatever the scenario you want to make sure you choose the right resort for everyone so we've compiled our favourites based on our own personal memories and experiences.
Our top family ski resorts which are great if you have beginners within your family. We have specifically chosen resorts
An ideal ski resort for families with beginner skiers as Alpe d’Huez offers terrain for all abilities. There are two beginner areas, Rif Nel and Les Jeux, which are great places to get your first taste of skiing with a dozen or so green runs at hand.
La Plagne is a great resort for a family ski holiday as much of the ski area is on a gentle plateau at the top of the resort which offers wide cruising runs, perfect for beginners to cut their teeth on. The resort is made up of 11 villages, although for beginners in the high villages of Belle Plagne and Plagne Centre it may be best to avoid the lower, more challenging runs.
The nursery slopes in La Rosiere are just a short lift ride from the two main villages. It offers a pleasant alternative to a family ski holiday in the Alps as it is a smaller, quieter resort which can be a preferential option for beginners. It is also an attractive resort with a village charm with well thought of ski schools.
A really solid choice for a family with beginner skiers, thanks to the four beginner zones (“ski tranquille”) across the resort as well as 10 free beginners lifts too. Les Arcs doesn’t use the green run classification, however many of their blues runs are gentle enough to be greens.
THE THREE VALLEYS
This is a massive area (encompassing Courchevel, Meribel and Val Thorens) and with over 600kms of piste, there really is something for the whole family thanks to the huge variety a skiing terrain on offer.
Meribel always looks like a stereotypical alpine ski village; it is a resort which is inherently attractive. The resort has also made of point of being family-friendly and this is evident through the range of ski schools, childcare facilities and general entertainment for children, like specified sledging areas and kid ski areas with Inuit Villages and mini slalom courses.
Having only a slight bias towards intermediate skiers makes Val Thorens a great place for beginners to progress from the numerous nursery slopes and green runs. It is also the highest resort in the Three Valleys which promises great snow throughout the season. For the family, the longest toboggan run in France is a great option as is the incredible spectacle of the ski instructor’s torchlit descent.
We only work with the best in-resort ski schools and our Ski Specialists can advise and pre-book the relevant classes for you and your family.
You are never too young to enjoy a ski holiday! Many of our resorts have local crèche facilities and most have pre-ski school kindergartens (which usually require a vaccination certificate).
We are delighted to offer a private nanny service in partnership with T4 Nannies in Val d’Isère, Tignes, La Plagne, La Rosiere, Courchevel and Meribel.
Ski resorts are magical places for children and T4 nannies offer fun, flexible and top-notch childcare. Unlike other nanny services, they hand-pick their nannies and hire them for the full season, so they personally know and trust the people who will be looking after your children. All their nannies are CRB checked, first aid trained and come with glowing references.
* Please note: Reductions apply to the "full" adult price and do not include any supplements such as room or flight supplements. These reductions do not apply to rooms in which children aged 2 - 11 are already enjoying half-price places. Half price places are not combinable with group discounts. These reductions apply to holidays which include Skiworld charter flights and Skiworld catered chalet accommodation. Free places are limited to one per family. Please read the booking conditions and important information. Infants are children under the age of 2 on the return date of travel and this charge applies provided that no flight, coach or train seat is used and that a cot is used in the resort.
