At Skiworld, we don’t just sell ski holidays, we live them. Founded in 1982 by Ian Coleby, a passionate skier who still sits as our Chairman today, Skiworld was born from a love of the mountains and a belief that ski holidays should be created by skiers, for skiers. More than 40 winters later, that belief still runs through everything we do.

ATOL (Air Travel Organisers' Licensing)

We are licensed by the UK Civil Aviation Authority under ATOL number 2036. This means that when you book a flight-inclusive ski holiday with us, your money is fully protected, and if the worst happens (for example, if a tour operator fails), you won’t be left stranded abroad or out of pocket.

Important Travel Advice

While financial protection is crucial, so is being prepared. We strongly advise:

  1. Taking Out Comprehensive Ski Travel Insurance. Make sure it covers winter sports, potential mountain rescue, and lost or stolen equipment.
  2. Checking Government Travel Advice. Refer to the FCDO (Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office) for up-to-date information on local laws, safety, and health requirements.
  3. Understanding Your Booking Conditions. Download or read our full booking conditions so you know exactly how deposits, final payments, changes, and cancellations work.

What does ATOL protection cover?

ATOL protects flight-inclusive packages, meaning if the operator fails, you’re still protected for flights and your holiday.

How does ABTA protect my money?

ABTA doesn’t offer a refund guarantee in the same way as ATOL, but it enforces high business standards and dispute resolution for its members.

What happens if I need to cancel?

If you need to cancel your holiday for any reason (which we hope won't happen!), you'll need to provide us with a written confirmation. To cover the cost of processing your cancellation and to compensate us for the risk that we may not be able to resell your holiday, a cancellation charge from the date we receive written confirmation will be payable.
