La Rosière's main ski sectors by ability

  • To beginners, La Rosière offers a high proportion of green and blue runs located close to the resort, such as the Lutins, Clarines or Dahu.
  • Intermediate skiers will find a wide variety of long, flowing runs across both sides of the ski area. Pistes such as Manessier, Clarines and Combe des Moulins offer consistent gradients and scenic descents, including routes that cross into Italy.
  • Advanced skiers can explore more technical terrain, particularly in the Mont Valaisan sector, which features steeper red and black runs and freeride opportunities. Runs such as Franco Berthod and the high-altitude descents from Mont Valaisan offer more challenging skiing and strong vertical.

La Rosière-Espace San Bernardo lift system

The La Rosière ski area is served by a modern network of predominantly chairlifts and a gondola connecting all sectors of the resort and linking directly to La Thuile in Italy.

Lift types include:

  • 1 Gondola
  • 22 Chairlifts
  • 11 T-bar lifts
  • 5 Moving carpets

Lifts practical considerations

  • Connected to the Italian resort of La Thuile via the Petit Saint-Bernard pass, one of the key features of the lift system is the ability to ski between France and Italy, with a single lift pass.
  • The Mont Valaisan sector is served by 6 modern high-speed chairlifts, providing access to higher altitude terrain from where you can enjoy panoramic views of Mont Blanc, Mont Pourri, the Matterhorn and the Vanoise glaciers.
