Short ski break FAQs

Is a short ski holiday of three or four nights really worth it?

Yes, if you’re looking for a quick, high-impact ski trip. A three/four-day ski trip won’t cover everything, but it’s perfect for maximising time on the slopes without taking a full week off.
It’s best suited to intermediate and advanced skiers who can hit the ground running and make the most of every run but it can suit beginners just looking for their first taste of the slopes. Choosing a high-altitude resort like Méribel also helps guarantee good snow conditions. Overall, if you’re after a short, energising break rather than a full ski week, it’s absolutely worth it.

What’s included in a short ski break?

Our short ski break packages are designed to make your trip as seamless as possible. Your holiday includes accommodation, flights or alternative travel options, and transfers to/from resort.
If you choose a catered ski chalet, you’ll also enjoy hearty breakfasts, afternoon tea, and evening meals with free-flowing wine through to after-dinner coffee. Your chalet host will have one evening off during your stay.
You can also pre-book extras like lift passes and ski hire, helping you save money and spend more time on the slopes.

How many days do I need for a ski weekend?

Three to four days is ideal. This gives you enough time to enjoy the slopes while keeping travel efficient and the trip feeling worthwhile.

Are short ski breaks more expensive per day?

They can be slightly higher per day due to travel costs, but they still offer great value if you’re short on time and want a quick getaway. We often recommend a catered ski chalet to help keep additional spending in resort to a minimum, with breakfast, afternoon tea, dinner and wine included.
Pre-booking your lift pass and ski hire also helps you lock in savings and avoid unexpected costs, so you can focus on making the most of your time on the slopes.

How do I make the most of a short ski trip?

Pre-book lift passes and ski hire, choose accommodation close to the slopes, and leverage local knowledge to help plan your runs and maximise your mountain time.

Can I bring my own ski equipment on a short ski holiday?

Yes, but many travellers prefer to pre-book ski hire to save on baggage costs and make travel easier.

Can beginners go on a short ski break?

They can, but it’s better suited to those with some experience. Beginners may find a longer trip more rewarding to allow time for lessons and progression.
If you're after just a quick taster trip, then it could still be worthwhile but perhaps consider a few lessons at your local snow dome so you can make the most out of just a few days.
