A family ski holiday doesn't have to break the bank. With the right destination, accommodation and booking timing, you can enjoy an unforgettable week in the mountains for less than you might think.
One of the easiest ways to save is by booking early. Family ski deals are often at their best when holidays first go on sale, giving you access to the widest choice of accommodation and the lowest prices. Keep an eye out for free child places, lift pass offers and limited-time discounts that can significantly reduce the overall cost of your trip.
Travelling outside peak school holiday weeks can also unlock some of the best value family ski deals. Early December, January and late March often offer excellent snow conditions, quieter slopes and lower prices across accommodation, flights and lift passes.
For maximum value, consider a catered chalet or package ski holiday. With flights, transfers and accommodation included in one price, it's easier to budget and often works out cheaper than booking everything separately. Family rooms and apartments can offer even greater savings, particularly for larger groups.
Whether you're planning your children's first ski holiday or returning for another family adventure, our latest family ski deals make it easier to hit the slopes for less.

In 2025, several resorts extended the children’s lift pass age bracket from 12 to 18. This means big savings for families with teenagers. Val Thorens, Meribel and Courchevel have joined Tignes and Val d’Isere in this scheme to make skiing more affordable.
For example, in June 2026 a full-area Tignes adult lift pass cost £423 (previously ages 13 and up), while a children’s pass is £350. With the new policy, children are now defined as ages 5–17, so that £73 saving applies for far longer and makes a real difference for families.
