The Wine Ski Safari Weekend, San Cassiano

Provisional Itinerary

Friday, 19 March — Arrival & Welcome

•    04:45 — Group meets at London Heathrow Terminal 5. 
•    06:45 — Outbound BA flight: LHR → VCE.
•    Private group transfer from Venice Airport to San Cassiano in Alta Badia.
•    Check-in at the stunning Hotel Gran Paradiso. Ski hire is arranged for those who need equipment.
•    Time to unwind — take a dip in the indoor pool or relax in the spa before meeting the group.
•    19:15 - Evening:  Welcome Aperitivo 
•    20:00 - Welcome set three-course dinner at the hotel’s acclaimed restaurant.

Saturday, 20 March — Gourmet Skiing & Ladin Dining

•    07:30 – Breakfast
•    08:30 - After breakfast, meet our ski guides and split into groups of approx. six to eight people, to enjoy a day of skiing with options to ski part of the world-famous Sellaronda (for those confident on red runs) explore the area's beautiful slopes from La Villa to Colfosco, depending on ability and preference. 
•    13:00 - Lunch: Meet at Edelweiss Hut for breathtaking mountain views, a welcome drink, and a casual Pizza lunch (extras payable).
•    Afternoon: Continue skiing on stunning Dolomites pistes or return to Gran Paradiso to relax in the spa and wellness area.
•    20:00 Evening: A traditional Ladin dinner at the hotel, celebrating local flavours and regional specialities.

Sunday, 21 March — The Wine Skisafari

•    07:30 – Breakfast
•    08:30 - After breakfast, meet up with our guides to enjoy a day on the pristine slopes of Alta Badia and embark on the Wine Ski Safari, skiing hut-to-hut and tasting  over 60 wines from South Tyrol’s top producers — set against live music and a spectacular alpine backdrop.
•    13:00 - Lunch: Two-course lunch at Piz Arlara mountain hut, with one drink included (extras payable).
•    Afternoon: Continue the Wine Skisafari experience, before returning to Gran Paradiso to relax and refresh.
•    20:00 Evening: Our final gourmet three-course dinner at the hotel — a perfect way to toast the weekend.

Monday, 22 March — Lagazuoi Magic & Departure

•    07:30 Breakfast and Check-out
•    08:45 - Morning: Choose your perfect final ski:
o    For red run skiers: Ski the Lagazuoi tour and the 7.5km Armentarola piste, one of the most beautiful ski runs in the world, ending with the famous horse-drawn lift.
o    For blue run skiers: Enjoy another morning exploring the gentle slopes of Alta Badia.
•    12:00 – All back to Hotel Gran Paradiso for a quick change
•    13:00 — Group transfer back to Venice.
•    18:05 — Inbound BA flight: VCE → LHR

Final ski itineraries may be refined closer to departure to best match group ability and weather conditions.

The 2027 Wine Skisafari weekend includes:

•    Return flights London Heathrow ↔ Venice with British Airways.
•    Return private group transfers Venice ↔ Alta Badia.
•    3-day Dolomiti Superski pass.
•    3-day ski hire (skis, boots, poles, helmet) or ski carriage.
•    2.5 day ski guiding - split into ability groups, likely to be blue and red run abilities, in groups of 6-8
•    3 nights’ luxury stay at Hotel Gran Paradiso (two sharing), including:
o    Daily buffet breakfast
o    Full use of the hotel’s wellness facilities (pool, sauna, Turkish bath, relaxation room).
•    Two gourmet mountain lunches (Saturday & Sunday).
•    Wine Ski Safari tickets — including tastings at four participating huts.
•    Three exclusive dinners:
o    Friday Welcome Dinner — aperitivo + set menu (three courses).
o    Saturday Ladin Dinner — traditional specialities.
o    Sunday Gourmet Dinner — three indulgent courses.
•    Taxi Transfer for Lagazuoi tour.
•    Skiworld Host Service — Italian-speaking host with travel and ski hire coordination, ski itinerary advice, hut lunch planning, and Lagazuoi Valley excursion support.

•    Travel to and from UK airport.
•    Spa treatments.
•    Additional food or drinks beyond what’s specified in the itinerary.
•    Travel insurance (mandatory).
•    €5 in cash for the Lagazuoi horse-drawn lift (not included in the ski pass).

• Adequate travel insurance to cover skiing is a condition of booking (need to provide details).
• Prices are based on 2 sharing. Single rooms may be available on request and are subject to a supplement.
