Les Deux Alpes ski resort piste maps

Located in the Oisans region of the French Alps, Les Deux Alpes is one of the highest and most vertically extensive ski resorts in Europe, with skiing ranging from 1,300 metres up to 3,600 metres on the glacier. The resort offers more than 220 km of pistes, with a unique top-to-bottom vertical drop of 2,300 metres, allowing uninterrupted descents from the glacier to the valley. What makes Les Deux Alpes particularly distinctive is its sector-based layout, where the ski area is divided into clearly defined zones, each offering a different type of terrain, atmosphere and skiing experience. From high-altitude glacier skiing to beginner-friendly slopes near the resort, the domain is structured to suit all levels. Alongside its high-altitude glacier skiing and long vertical descents, Les Deux Alpes offers a variety of accommodation options, including ski chalets, well suited to groups looking to stay close to the lifts and main ski areas.

Below you can download the latest Les Deux Alpes piste map in PDF format and further down the page, you’ll also find a clear overview of how the ski area is laid out, helping you understand how the different sectors connect across the mountain.

Understanding the Les Deux Alpes piste map

The Les Deux Alpes piste map covers a single, fully interconnected ski area that stretches from the resort at 1,650 metres to the Glacier 3600, one of the highest lift-served ski areas in France. Rather than being divided into separate ski domains, the mountain is organised into a series of connected sectors that gradually increase in altitude, allowing skiers to move between beginner slopes, high-altitude cruising terrain, freestyle areas and glacier skiing without leaving the lift network and making it one of the most complete ski resorts in the French Alps.

  • At the foot of the mountain sits Les Deux Alpes village (1,650 m), where several major lift stations provide direct access to the ski area. The lower slopes immediately above the resort feature a mix of green and blue pistes, together with beginner facilities and gentle progression areas, making them well suited to first-time skiers and those building confidence before exploring higher on the mountain.
  • To the west of the main lift line, the La Fée sector (2,100 m) offers a quieter skiing experience with wide blue and red pistes winding through open terrain. This area is particularly popular with intermediate skiers looking for longer cruising runs away from the busier central slopes, while also providing access towards the Vallée Blanche extension. • On the opposite side of the mountain, the Le Diable sector (2,400 m) is characterised by steeper terrain and a greater concentration of red and black pistes. Descending directly towards the resort, this part of the ski area appeals to confident intermediate and advanced skiers seeking longer, more technical runs without venturing onto the glacier.
  • At the centre of the mountain, the Crêtes and Belle Étoile sectors form the heart of the resort's lift network. Numerous blue, red and black pistes converge here, making this the main crossroads for exploring Les Deux Alpes. From this central hub, skiers can easily continue towards La Fée, Le Diable, Toura or the glacier, while the varied terrain makes it one of the best all-round areas for mixed-ability groups. • Higher up the mountain, the Toura sector (2,600 m) is home to the renowned 2 Alpes Snowpark, one of Europe's largest freestyle areas. Alongside terrain parks, boardercross courses and beginner freestyle zones, Toura also offers wide open pistes that provide an important link between the lower mountain and the glacier lifts. • Above Toura, the Jandri (3,200 m) and Glacier 3600 sectors provide some of the highest skiing in the French Alps. Served by the Jandri gondola and glacier lifts, this high-altitude area is known for its reliable snow conditions, panoramic views and long descents back towards the resort. The glacier's predominantly open terrain is dominated by blue and red pistes, although several more challenging runs are also available for experienced skiers. • To the south-west of the resort, the Vallée Blanche area forms a separate lower extension connected by lifts from the main ski domain. This quieter sector offers predominantly gentle pistes through wooded surroundings and provides an enjoyable alternative for beginners, families and intermediate skiers looking for a more relaxed pace away from the central mountain.
