Overview of Vaujany

Vaujany is a quaint and quiet mountain village with surprisingly excellent family facilities and access to the slopes at neighbouring Alpe d'Huez. It's often considered to be a 'best-kept secret' in the region, offering one-lift access to an amazing 248km ski area, whilst retaining a truly traditional and quintessential alpine atmosphere in the historic village.

3 Things We Love About Vaujany

  1. A modern lift system with excellent access to the skiing in Alpe d'Huez
  2. The wide range of facilities at the village's leisure centre; L'Espace Loisirs
  3. Evening entertainment centred around peaceful and immersive dining experiences

Skiing and Boarding in Vaujany

Vaujany is linked to the Alpe d'Huez ski area via it's own 160 person cable car. 248km of skiing awaits, featuring 120 slopes of mostly intermediate standard (38 green, 32 blue, 34 red and 16 black). This includes the world's longest pisted black run - the 16km Sarenne, and Le Tunnel - often considered one of the best ski runs in the world.

The village of Vaujany sits at 1250m, which can mean snow is limited in early and late season, however skiing back to the village is usually possible for most of the winter.
