Overview of Les Carroz

Les Carroz enjoys a serene location in the Grand Massif area, and is most popular with French families. Skiing in the Grand Massif includes not only Les Carroz itself, but also the neighbouring resorts of Flaine, Samoens, Morillon and Sixt, giving access to 265 km of pistes.
The village of Les Carroz features traditional Savoyard style timber buildings and pine-tree-clad surrounding slopes, at a height of 1200 metres. It is also one of the closest ski resorts to Geneva for those looking for a quick transfer of around 1 hour and a half.

Skiing in Les Carroz

Les Carroz is great for beginners, with the village’s nursery slopes being protected and quiet. There are also plenty of gentle blue runs nearby, allowing for progress at a comfortable rate. Intermediate level skiers can enjoy easy access to the whole of the Grand Massif, and will particularly enjoy the runs down into Les Carroz itself.
The advanced skiing around Flaine and Samoens is well-renowned as world-class. There is a good number of challenging black runs, and Flaine offers stunning powder bowls, with often relatively quiet top-quality off-piste compared to some other ski areas.
Snowboarders can make use of the two boardercross courses and Oasis Cool Zone snowpark in Les Carroz, which is suitable for a variety of ability levels, and an additional 2 snowparks further afield in the Grand Massif.

Apres-ski in Les Carroz

Les Carroz is a much better fit for families than for those looking for serious apres-ski, however there are bars to choose from for an afternoon drink. The Marlow gets the sun and has all the cocktails, and The Carpe Diem Pub offers live music and sport on TV.

Dining in Les Carroz

The Agora restaurant in the town square is a popular spot for lunch and dinner. Les Servages is the most renowned fine dining option in Les Carroz, a more high-end and accordingly pricey eatery at the base of the ski run into the village. The Bistrot Grill du Gron is the place to head to BBQ style ribs and meats of all kinds.
