Environmental Considerations
Part of the way Skiworld reduces its use of valuable paper resources is by paperless ticketing. The vast majority of our flights are paperless. Simply produce your e-itinerary or booking reference at the check-in desk along with your passport and you will receive your boarding pass.
Carbon Off-Setting
We also offer you the opportunity to compensate for the emissions caused by your flight. For more information and to make your flight carbon neutral please see our Climate Care page.
European Travel Options
Flights
We offer flights from a range of UK airports:
We can sometimes also offer flights on request from other UK airports. Please call for details. Supplements may apply and flights are subject to coinciding with transfer times in resort. Please note that flights which are not part of our standard package will not be shown on our website.
Pre-Book Seats
We want to be together - If you want to sit alongside your friends or family on your flight and get stuck into a game of cards just ask! Pre-booking your seats means that the airline will pre-allocate your seats so all those in your party who pre-book will be seated together. We cannot guarantee pre-bookable seats, this service is only available with selected airlines, and can only be booked online once you have your flight information. Please ask our Ski Specialists for more information at time of booking if you are interested in pre-booking seats.
Shared Transfers
If you are flying to Grenoble or Friedrichshafen and taking a Skiworld shared transfer you will be met by a Skiworld Representative who will show you to your transfer coach to resort.
Private Transfers
Private transfers are also available should you and your group prefer to travel with more flexibility and comfort.
Booking a private transfer is as simple as 1-2-3...
Our private transfers are operated by trusted trade partners with years of experience in ski resort/airport transfers. After arriving at your destination airport and collecting your luggage, you will find your driver in the arrivals hall, holding a sign with your name on. Then just sit back, relax and enjoy the comfort of your private door to door transfer. On the return journey, the pickup time is tailored to your flight time, so no early departures or wasted time at the airport.

USA and Canada Travel Options
Flights
Our North American scheduled flights are usually operated by the following airlines. Please click their logos to visit their individual websites in order to find out what you can expect when you book in their range of travel classes. Skiworld are able to book your seats in any travel class, subject to the airline's availability and any supplemental costs which may apply.
Security
Recent events have led to security at all major airports being increased. This will add to your journey time so please ensure you leave plenty of time to clear check-in, customs, immigration and security. We strongly advise you check recommended check-in times with the airline you are travelling with.
Visa Waiver Programme
ESTA (USA)
Effective 12th January 2009, all passengers travelling to the United States without a US visa under the terms of the visa waiver programme must obtain pre-authorisation via the Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA). Applications can be submitted at any time but no later than 72 hours prior to travel. Failure to do so could result in you being refused boarding and travel. Authorisation is valid for 2 years. For more information and to complete the form go to esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/
Advanced Passenger Information Service (APIS)
In light of the heightened security on international flights to USA and Canada, you are required to provide specific information before you can enter the US or Canada. This would normally be done at the check-in desk but you can avoid this by entering the required APIS data via the appropriate airline’s online check-in service. The information required varies slightly but will generally include:
• Passport number
• Country which issued the passport
• Given name as appears on the passport (which must match the reservation)
• Last name
• Gender
• Date of birth
• Nationality
• Country of residence
• Destination address in the US
eTA (Canada)
As of March 2016 travellers to Canada will need an eTA (Electronic Travel Authorisation) before they board a flight to Canada. The eTA is an entry requirement for foreign nationals travelling to Canada by air in the visa waiver programme. The requirement will allow Canadian authorities to screen travellers before they arrive. The authorisation is electronically linked to your passport and is valid for 5 years or until your passport expires.
Applying is a simple and quick online process and costs $7 CAD. In order to apply you will need a valid passport, a credit card and an email address. The application form is available on the government of Canada website - canada.ca.
British Airways
All British Airways customers are required to provide advance passenger information prior to travel to the United States. Please go to BA.com and click on ‘Manage my Booking’. Enter your BA locator which can be found on your itinerary along with the surname of the lead passenger. Then go to the section marked ‘Advance Passenger Information’ and complete the details required. Failure to do so could mean boarding is denied by the airline.
Pre-Booking Of Seats On USA and Canada Scheduled Flights
On most occasions we are unable to pre-book or select a specific seat for you. Only on occasion at the time of booking can this be done. There are a limited number of seats released for pre-reservation by the airline before check-in. Please note that pre-reserved seats are not guaranteed and subject to cancellation or amendment at the airlines discretion. Please also note that bulk head and emergency exit seats cannot be pre-reserved. These are only available at the time of check in and at the airport only.
