Ski Holidays in Sun Peaks

Tyrolean-style village perfect for all the family

Sun Peaks is the near perfect family resort; it has a friendly, convenient Tyrolean-style village with boutique shops, cafes and restaurants within walking distance and a ski area which offers challenges for all levels of skier without splitting families too far apart. With dry interior BC powder, uncrowded slopes and more than 2,000 hours of sunshine annually over the 3 mountains, there may not be a more enjoyable place to ski.

The Best of Sun Peaks

A huge ski area to explore; the second biggest in Canada no less! Plus you'll find a beginner, intermediate and expert run from the top of each chairlift so you can navigate the mountain in a group much easier.

The Pedestrianised resort village makes it so easy to explore the boutiques, restaurants and bars. It really does have a Tyrollean feel and you'd be forgiven for thinking you were strolling through a major Austrian resort!

The weather in this part of Canada is perfect for sking... PERFECT. Beautiful sunshine, big snow storms of super dry fluffy powder snow, and the quiet crispness that winter is all about.

Skiing and Snowboarding in Sun peaks

Located in the stunning BC interior, Sun Peaks has over 4,270 acres of skiing with nearly 3,000ft of vertical drop offering, making this the second largest ski area in Canada. It offers a range of skiing from perfect groomed slopes to great glades. For the more advanced there is a steep black run down Freddy’s Nightmare and also some fantastic off glade skiing on Burflield Chair, with 5 Mile providing the perfect learning slope. A family oriented ski area where all runs lead back to the main village.

The Best Time to Ski at Sun Peaks

As with most of British Columbia, the ski season starts early and finishes late so any time of the season is great. However, the magic of Sun Peaks comes alive around the festive period so especially if you have children, a ski holiday at Christmas or New Year will be unforgettable.

Apres Ski in Sun Peaks

Sun Peaks has countless dining options for families in the pedestrian village with a restaurant or café to suit all tastes and budgets. There is also an excellent selection of family events laid on including a torchlight descent, toboggan evenings and dog sledding. For those looking to dance on into the night, then head to The Club.
