Cheap doesn't have to mean compromising on your ski holiday. We look for holidays where the price makes sense for what you get, whether that's a well-located property, a high-altitude resort, catering included or useful extras that save you money elsewhere.

How to find a cheap ski holiday
- Travel outside peak dates. January and March can offer better value than Christmas, New Year and Half Term, while still providing excellent skiing in the right resorts.
- Choose your accommodation carefully. Self-catering apartments can help keep food costs down, while catered chalets can represent good value when meals, afternoon tea and wine are included.
- Consider a shorter ski break. A three or four-night ski break can be a good way to enjoy the mountains without paying for a full seven-night holiday or using as much annual leave.
- Look at what's included. A holiday that appears more expensive at first glance may actually offer better value if your lift pass, ski hire, transfers or meals are included.
- Book early. Booking early gives you the widest choice of accommodation and dates, as well as access to selected early booking offers.
- Consider less obvious resorts. Some of the biggest and most famous resorts command a premium. Looking at smaller or less well-known resorts can give you more skiing for your money.
