Whichever way you prefer to travel to the mountains, we can help. Choose from a range of transport options including regional airport departures, train travel and self-drive options. For the ultimate in choice and flexibility, we offer scheduled flights to USA and Canada - why not throw in a city stop-over to really make the most of your trip?
Skiworld has led the way in reducing our use of valuable paper resources by introducing paperless ticketing. We began 5 years ago and now the majority of our flights are paperless.
You simply produce your itinerary or booking reference at the check-in desk along with your passport and you will receive your boarding pass.
We also offer you the opportunity to compensate for the emissions caused by your flight. For more information and to make your flight carbon neutral please see our Climate Care page.
More flight options from the UK
We offer flights from 4 main airports:
• Gatwick
• Birmingham
• Manchester
• Bristol
We can sometimes also offer flights on request from Stansted, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds-Bradford, Southend & Southampton. Please call for details. Supplements may apply and flights are subject to coinciding with transfer times in resort. Please note that flights that are not part of our standard offering will not be available on our website.
We want to be together - If you want to sit alongside your friends or family on your flight and get stuck into a game of cards just ask! Pre-booking your seats means that the airline will pre-allocate your seats so all those in your party who pre-book will be seated together. We cannot guarantee pre-bookable seats, this service is only available with selected airlines, and can only be booked online once you have your flight information. Please ask our Ski Specialists for more information at time of booking if you are interested in pre-booking seats.
We fly to Grenoble, Geneva, Friedrichshafen and Munich:
Ski Representatives at the airport – You will be met at your arrival airport by our Skiworld Representatives who will show you to your transfer to resort.
Speedy and comfortable transfers to resort –
Private transfers are also available should you and your group simply prefer to travel to resort with a little more style and comfort. Prices start from just £129pp (based on 8 sharing).
The comfort of your own car
We offer self-drive ski holiday packages where you can travel in your own time, at your own convenience and in the comfort of your own car. We provide you with directions to your accommodation along with contact telephone numbers in resort. All we ask is that you arrive at your accommodation and depart on the same day as our flights.
If you have your own accommodation booked we can sometimes offer return flight, transfer and Snowtrain seats at extremely competitive prices. Prices are on a request basis and subject to availability. Please call for details.
Online check-in services
Most of our transatlantic scheduled services offer online check-in services via their own websites. This enables you to bypass the queues at the airport, pre-reserve your seats and print your boarding pass ready to go.
Once at the airport you can drop your bags to be tagged and proceed straight to customs and immigration.
To check-in online, all you will need is you airline locator (reference number which will be on your itinerary) and names of the passengers flying. Online check-in generally opens 24 hours before departure and closes 2 hours before.

Recent events have led to security at all major airports being increased. This will add to your journey time so please ensure you leave plenty of time to clear check-in, customs, immigration and security. We strongly advise you check recommended check-in times with the airline you are travelling with.
Effective 12th January 2009, all passengers travelling to the United States without a US visa under the terms of the visa waiver programme must obtain pre-authorisation via the Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA). Applications can be submitted at any time but no later than 72 hours prior to travel. Failure to do so could result in you being refused boarding and travel. Authorisation is valid for 2 years. For more information and to complete the form go to esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/
Advanced Passenger Information Service (APIS)
In light of the heightened security on international flights to USA and Canada, you are required to provide specific information before you can enter the US or Canada. This would normally be done at the check-in desk but you can avoid this by entering the required APIS data via the appropriate airline’s online check-in service. The information required varies slightly but will generally include:
• Passport number
• Country which issued the passport
• Given name as appears on the passport (which must match the reservation)
• Last name
• Gender
• Date of birth
• Nationality
• Country of residence
• Destination address in the US
As of March 2016 travellers to Canada will need an eTA (Electronic Travel Authorisation) before they board a flight to Canada. The eTA is an entry requirement for foreign nationals travelling to Canada by air in the visa waiver programme. The requirement will allow Canadian authorities to screen travellers before they arrive. The authorisation is electronically linked to your passport and is valid for 5 years or until your passport expires.
Applying is a simple and quick online process and costs $7 CAD. In order to apply you will need a valid passport, a credit card and an email address. The application form is available on the government of Canada website - canada.ca.
All British Airways customers are required to provide advance passenger information prior to travel to the United States. Please go to BA.com and click on ‘Manage my Booking’. Enter your BA locator which can be found on your itinerary along with the surname of the lead passenger. Then go to the section marked ‘Advance Passenger Information’ and complete the details required. Failure to do so could mean boarding is denied by the airline.
On most occasions we are unable to pre-book or select a specific seat for you. Only on occasion at the time of booking can this be done. There are a limited number of seats released for pre-reservation by the airline before check-in. Please note that pre-reserved seats are not guaranteed and subject to cancellation or amendment at the airlines discretion. Please also note that bulk head and emergency exit seats cannot be pre-reserved. These are only available at the time of check in and at the airport only.
