With ski chalets in locations throughout Austria, Switzerland and France, subsequently many of our properties have incredible views. However, our staff have recommended ten of their favourites just for you.
Here are 10 of the best ski chalets with a view.
France
Chalet Benjamin, Courchevel, France
Sleeps 10-11
The Benjamin is one of three chalets in our Courchevel development. The chalet combines rustic stonework, wood beams and contemporary French mountain styling. The result is a cosy plush finish with sophisticated modern touches. The Benjamin is a chalet with a view stretching far out over the Vallée de Bozel, which provides a striking backdrop for evening drinks in the terrace hot tub. As part of the enormous Trois Vallées ski area, it’s easy to access the vast 600km of piste on offer. The abundance of North facing slopes in Courchevel also means the snow is some of the best in the entire area.
Chalet Daniel, La Rosière, France
Sleeps 12-13
The Daniel is a spacious chalet in the traditional Tarentaise village of la Rosière. Situated in the ground floor of a stand-alone building in Les Eucherts, a newly developed area of La Rosière. This chalet is built to take full advantage of the spectacular views of nearby Les Arcs, Tignes and Val d’Isère. The large windows in the generous open plan dining room, installed by experts just like the ones you can find when you visit this web-site, provide an amazing backdrop to the table at dinner time. There’s also a balcony to take in the surrounding vistas.
Chalet Gorges, Les Deux Alpes, France
Sleeps 6
The Chalet Gorges is a fantastic option for a smaller group looking to book out an entire chalet with a view. The chalet’s south-facing terrace means you get epic views of the Roch de la Muzelle, the westernmost peak of the Massif des Ecrinis. Then when the evening air gets too cold you can retreat inside to the seating area, and continue to enjoy the view from the picture window looking out over the balcony. Chalet Gorges sits a comfortable 250m (approx.) walk away from the lively après scene in town. This makes it perfect for those looking for a taste of the nightlife, while at the same time being able to retreat to a quiet location for the night.
Chalet Libra, Val Thorens, France
Sleeps 6
As well as being a chalet with a view, the Libra also has the added benefit of being close to the piste. So you have as much time to spare as possible for soaking up the spectacular scenery from the chalet balconies. Sitting at 2,300m altitude, Val Thorens is the highest resort in the Trois Vallées ski area. Well above the tree line, the views of the surrounding mountains are pristine white with jagged rock and seemingly go on forever. Furthermore, the added bonus of staying at this altitude is that the slopes right on your doorstep have snow for the entire season.
Chalet Madeleine, Val d’Isère, France
Sleeps 12-14
Looking for a chalet with a view in Val d’Isère? Then the Chalet Madeleine is a fantastic choice. To say it is opulent would be an understatement. Traditional exterior architecture gives way to pure alpine luxury as you step through the wide oak front door onto heated floors throughout. On the large 1st floor terrace sits a luxury hot tub for 6 people comfortably amidst scenic mountain views. The bedrooms are sanctuaries of relaxed effortlessness, with broad comfortable beds, soft linens and contemporary design, each with their own uniquely blissful bathroom suite.
Chalet Cicero, Les Arcs, France
Sleeps 8
Imagine having your own secluded alpine cabin to enjoy time with your friends or family on your next ski holiday. Located in Les Arcs 1800, this cosy converted farm building is only a short walk and ski away from the Arc 1800 Front de Neiges, giving you access to pistes and chairlifts. The Cicero is also a hillside chalet with a view. From the beautifully tranquil outdoor terrace, guests can enjoy stunning views across the tree-lined valley to the mountains on the far side.
Chalet Silene, La Plagne, France
Sleeps 10
The Silene is, without a doubt, set up perfectly to enjoy the beautiful French alpine sunset. With its South West facing terrace; the Silene is a chalet with a view, and a hot tub impeccably positioned to make your evenings as tranquil as possible. The chalet itself feels grand and luxurious, with an attractive modern Savoyard style exterior, making it stand out amongst the surrounding buildings. This continues inside where the Silene boasts a contemporary modern theme. La Plagne is one of the French ski areas best suited to beginners and intermediates thanks to its abundance of wide and gentle slopes. However, there are still plenty of black and red runs as well as off-piste areas for advanced skiers.
Campanula, La Plagne, France
Sleeps 12-14
The Campanula is a slightly larger version of the Silene, perfect for those travelling in a bigger group. Located in the same stunning ‘Mountain Flower’ complex as the Silene, the Campanula also enjoys its own hot tub as well as a South-West facing balcony, accessible through large glass doors, positioned perfectly to soak up the sun throughout the day.
Switzerland
Chalet Altair, Nendaz, Switzerland
Sleeps 12
Chalet Altair is a 6-bedroom chalet and has an attractive modern take on classic, Swiss alpine styling. The Altair is a chalet with a view over the Rhone Valley and the haute d’Cry mountain range. The view is best enjoyed from the two living areas, or from your bed through the spectacular picture window in the upstairs bedroom. When the winter sun rises above the mountain tops you are treated to a beautiful pink and orange glow. With silhouettes of the lower mountains in the background. The Altair also boasts a luxurious outdoor hot tub on the balcony, best enjoyed under the starry night sky.
Austria
Chalet Alpenland, Lech, Austria
Sleeps 18-19
The Alpenland is a chalet with a view up the Zug valley, which can be enjoyed from a private balcony in some rooms. As well as the picturesque, snowy wilderness, guests can enjoy a sauna or take a short walk into the pretty nearby hamlet of Zug. Here you can find a great selection of quieter bars and restaurants, as well as the highly renowned Rote Wand gourmet restaurant. There is also a regular bus taking guests into the town of Lech itself. The sheer decadence of which is something that everyone should experience. Princess Diana was one of the most famous guests to the resort, as well as members of royalty from several other countries.
