Wait, Accommodation for What Price??

Quite simply, travelling in the peak weeks means you have to pay the peak prices. Those cruising to the pistes outside of these times can enjoy some seriously enticing value for money. Skiing in January offers exactly this.

We have a selection of chalets, apartments and hotels available for you to choose from. So whatever your needs, we have lots of January ski deals for you.

  • Catered chalets offer the complete package. Flights, transfers, accommodation, food and drinks will all be covered. Meaning all you need to worry about is which lift to head to first. Although I’m sure we can give some advice on that too.
  • Our self-catered independent chalets are ideal for those looking for the luxury of a chalet with more flexibility. No worries if you stay a bit late at apres, the fully fitted kitchens will be ready and waiting for you when/ if you return.
  • Apartments more your style? If so, ski holidays in January will provide some truly remarkable prices. With loads of apartments, big and small, we will help you find the ultimate option for your group.
  • Hotels are becoming much more affordable in the mountains, and often include some of the best wellness facilities and on-site restaurants. What’s more, you will generally find yourself in a prime location in resort.

Short but Sweet

As you may have noticed, a few of the ski dates in January are shorter than the normal 7-day getaway. Due to the way the dates fall over the festive period, the 2021/22 season also gives the opportunity for a short break in early January. This will run from 3rd-8th Jan (5 nights). A uniquely lower-priced week in the mountains – the perfect tonic after a hectic Christmas and New Year.

This shorter week is the one for those looking to get back in the swing of things after some time off the slopes. Or for those new to the slopes entirely…

Also, of course, it is possible to team this short week up with one of the week’s either side, giving a longer 12-night break. This gives the option of an extended New Year week bonanza or a longer trip in January for those after some SERIOUS ski time.

Snow Snow Snow

Not only do you get value for money in your accommodation search, but January skiing also gives an abundance of snow for your buck.

Happily, sat away from the early and late season thaws, January often provides some of the best snow conditions of the season. Giving the opportunity to explore the lower resorts you may otherwise miss.

Helpfully, we have a page dedicated to keeping you up to date with the latest snow conditions. So get this in your bookmarks bar and try to contain your excitement.

Fancy the Place to Yourself?

As well as getting a great bargain and plenty of powder, you will also find that when you ski in January you will have far fewer people to share it with. Those who are used to skiing in only the peak dates of the season will be in for a pleasant surprise.

Away from the school holiday dates, there are fewer children in resort (believe it or not). This means less pesky ski school snakes to avoid and if you need lessons yourself, these will be easier to find and cheaper.

The slopes aren’t the only thing to get some respite from the crowds. The resort towns in general will be easier to navigate, with restaurants easier to book (and pints easier to obtain at the bar).
