A lift pass is a necessity for every ski holiday. With the exception of a few free beginner lifts to the nursery slopes in some resorts, you'll need a lift pass to get up on the slopes and to explore the vast terrain of a ski area.
The table below shows all our catered chalet resorts and the cost of an adult six day full area lift pass during peak season weeks (correct as of June 2026).
| Resort | Adult 6-Day Lift Pass |
|---|---|
| Alpe d'Huez | £310pp |
| Courchevel | £384pp |
| La Plagne | £376pp |
| Les Arcs | £376pp |
| Les Deux Alpes | £307pp |
| Meribel | £384pp |
| St Anton | £427pp |
| Tignes | £423pp |
| Val d'Isere | £423pp |
| Val Thorens | £384pp |
We offer a choice of local area or full area lift passes with all our ski holidays.
A local area pass gives you access to the slopes within your chosen resort. For example, in Val Thorens, a local pass covers the resort's ski area only.
A full area pass gives you access to the entire linked ski domain. In the case of Val Thorens, that means skiing across the whole Three Valleys area, including Méribel and Courchevel.
Local area lift passes are included as standard with our Ski All-In Deals and selected lift pass offers (where available), with the option to upgrade to a full area pass during the booking process.
For most skiers and snowboarders, we recommend a full area pass. It gives you the freedom to explore more terrain, discover different villages, enjoy a wider choice of mountain restaurants and make the most of the ski area throughout your holiday. If you're an experienced skier or snowboarder, a full area pass is almost essential. It unlocks access to the entire ski domain, allowing you to explore more challenging terrain, seek out the best snow conditions and make the most of every run.
A local area pass can be a good option for complete beginners, who are likely to spend most of their first week on the slopes closest to their resort.
