Why St Anton?

The Skiing

The ski area of St Anton is vast whether you head up the Galzig side or over to Rendl. Although the terrain is best suited for immediate or advanced skiers, there are some fantastic wide blue runs -  head down blue 17 to Stuben where you can ski right into the chocolate box town centre. Your ski pass will also include Lech and Zurs which are easy to get to and well worth a visit. Try out some of the fun ski routes and off piste in Zurs and have a delicious Austrian feast in the celeb haven of Lech.

The Food

The food in St Anton is well priced for a ski resort - You can get an authentic Goulash soup and a drink on the mountain for under 10 Euros. There is a plentiful supply of cosy, alpine restaurants  - Pizzeria Pomodoro is a must for Pizza in town and Taps (above The Krazy Kankuruh) for a good mountain lunch. If you can push the budget, The Hospiz Alms in St Christoph is fantastic for lunch or dinner and The Museum is a real treat if you want fine dining!

The Apres!

Known for having the best après in the world St Anton does not disappoint. The Moosewirt is an experience to say the least. Picture a lot of rosy faced tourists linking arms with the locals, dancing on tables and a DJ on the terrace having his own little party as he pelts out the Austrian music!  It kicks off around 2pm and slowly transforms from a restaurant (affordable and tasty) to a full on mountain side Austrian Party!

For more of a modern take on apres you should visit the Krazy Kanaguruh. Filled with fun loving seasonnaires, you will be welcomed in by British classics from Michael Jackson to The Pogues! Fancy dress is a must!

• Ski Show - Every Wednesday - In "The Snow Must Go On"  the Tourism Association and the Ski School Arlberg have launched an incredible weekly ski demo well worth watching! New this year!
• Kirschbaum battle - 17th-18th March - Check out this awesome free riding competition in St Anton, the "Freeride Heaven of the Alps".
• The White Thrill - 21st April - Hundreds of skiers, boarders, telemarkers and whatever else you can get down the mountain on-ers meet at Valluga for a mass start ski race - Enjoy it from afar or get stuck in!
