The Lodge is known as one of Colorado’s finest hotels and has a AAA Diamond Award (2009) for its lodging and fantastic dining. Guest facilities include the Rock Resorts Spa, a 7500 sq ft area with treatment rooms, a couples room with fireside soaking tub, wet treatment room, saunas, steam rooms, whirlpools, relaxation lounge, a 3500 sq ft fitness centre, and an outdoor heated pool. There are 2 excellent restaurants, The Wildflower, an award winning restaurant and signature restaurant of the hotel. There is also the Cucina Rustica, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. Try Mickeys Piano bar, named after a pianist who still plays at the bar daily, which is a hot spot for après ski. Other services include on mountain ski storage; complimentary shuttle service to Vail Village and several small boutiques on the hotel site.

The hotel has 165 guest rooms, each varying in size and features. The best value is a Lodge room; Studios have a fully equipped kitchen and a fireplace, most have balconies; Deluxe rooms have an LCD TV and marble bathroom with towel warmers, most have balconies; Luxury rooms have mountain or courtyard views, an oversize bathroom with separate bath and shower, and heated marble floors; Suites and Condos have a separate living area, Condos come with a kitchen area.
