Skiing in Finland

Skiing in Finland offers a different experience to travelling to the Alps, for a variety of reasons. It is a country of incredible natural beauty and is far less frequented with British skiers, making it a perfect destination for families. Also, Finland isn’t just about downhill skiing like so many other ski resorts, as there is a huge array of other winter activities making it a varied and fairly unique ski holiday.

With husky and reindeer sleigh rides to safaris, ice fishing, ice karting, snow shoeing, X-country skiing as well as the breathtaking Northern Lights, there are probably more winter activities available than time to try them all!

The type of accommodation available is similar across all of the Finnish ski resorts, with a mixture of traditional cabins and hotels (which are available on a half board basis, at a supplement).

Getting to Finland is easy and stress free, with flights via Helsinki with Finnair to either Kittila or Kuusamo. A hire car is provided in all our ski holidays to Finland ensuring easy access to all the ski resorts, making twin centre experiences possible.
