Leith's School of Food and Wine
Leiths School of Food and Wine was established in 1975 to provide professional training for career cooks and short courses for amateurs. The most popular course for chalet staff is the  one month Basic Certificate in Practical Cookery, which takes place in August/September.  Shorter courses at Christmas and Easter from one week, give a good grounding in basic cookery skills. www.leiths.com

Native's Cookery Course
The Natives one-week courses are so highly regarded through the industry that they guarantee to find you a job upon completion of their chalet course (if you have the right passport!). The course runs for 5 days and covers all areas of running a chalet, from cooking and cleaning to customer service and food hygiene. Our tutors are current season workers, with a huge amount of experience between them.

Avenue Cookery School
The Avenue Cookery School, based in South West London, specialises in courses from one week to one month long, with the opportunity of a 'top up weekend' if necessary. Gables School of Cookery
The Gables chalet cookery course is designed to take you from a basic level of cookery to quite advanced dishes over the course of a month. Incorporating specific chalet cookery techniques and tips, you will develop an awareness of some of the challenges you will face, to make you more confident and effective whilst working as a chalet host.
