For adults, the Whistler Blackcomb Snow School’s new Max 4 concept is based on research that suggests this is the optimum group size for maximum improvement and therefore, all class sizes are now limited to a maximum of 4 learners per instructor. And to help you to progress even faster, they are also offering a special offer for of 3 consecutive days lessons in a Max 4 group for the price of two – so you’ll be shredding the powder before you know it!

Not forgetting the children, Whistler Kids now has a reduced class size as well with a maximum of six kids per instructor at all times. On-mountain safety has also been improved with the addition of a GPS tracker for every child. Designed to give parents peace of mind by tracking their child’s position to their instructor, this system also offers something to relive your stay in Whistler at the end of each day through the capability to review your child’s day out, see where they went and how far they skied. 18th Dec 2011 – Park Rider Ski and Snowboard Event – jump fest.

31st Dec 2011 – First Night Whistler – New Years Eve celebrations which take place in the Village Square and conference centre and offer family friendly activities, arts and entertainment.

2nd – 4th Feb 2012 – Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Cup – Sliding sport action from the World’s top bobsleigh and skeleton athletes held at the Whistler Sliding Centre.

11th Feb 2012 – King of the Rail – a series of Rail Jam contests which run on select evenings at base of Whistler Mountain.

Whistler is renowned for its hectic après ski, and there are plenty of après ski bars around where you can enjoy drinks and food after a hard day on the slopes.  Some of the local’s favourites are Dusty's, The Garibaldi Lift Co. and Merlins. Once the sun goes down the nightlife really starts as Whistler goes into full party mode.  There are many nightclubs offering different music scenes to suit all tastes and ages.

Whistler isn’t only about skiing and après, there’s plenty going on for families and non skiers too.  Snowmobiling tours, snow shoeing, sleigh rides, a tube park, helicopter tours, snowcat tours are just some of the activities available.
